Summer Progress

Warmer weather brings yard work, gardening and other outdoor activities and less work in the train room. I managed to have a free weekend, so I made a little progress on the benchwork. This last section proved a bit of a challenge for a non-carpenter so there’s a lot of quick-release clamp use to hold things in place before committing to more permanent fastening. Of course, one of the advantages of L-girder benchwork is the majority of the fastening is with screws so changes are fairly easy.

This small section will join with and angled module.
The most difficult part of this project so far. The exposed L-girders on the left will be cut to size later.
